Mitsubishi Electric at CES: a connected solutions story people could explore
A cityscape gave Mitsubishi Electric’s connected technologies a shared setting. At CES, an illuminated 3D model, a 75-inch interactive display and a HoloLens experience let visitors explore applications across homes, buildings, factories, communications and healthcare.
Mitsubishi Electric worked with Creative Solutions Group to develop a cohesive solutions story for the Consumer Electronics Show. The experience connected products, integrated technologies, and social challenges through tiered messaging, interactive demonstrations, and a consistent visual system.
Framing the Social Challenges
At the main entrance, an array of monitors introduced five primary social challenges. Each challenge was assigned a distinct color and icon, giving visitors a clear framework for navigating the content and understanding how the solutions connected.
Making circular engineering easier to explore
An illuminated 3D cityscape paired with a 75-inch interactive monitor created a physical and digital model of Mitsubishi Electric’s circular engineering concept. Mirrored digital content connected locations within the cityscape to relevant technologies, helping visitors understand how Mitsubishi Electric develops solutions to address social challenges.
Exploring Solutions Through Immersive Technology
As visitors moved into the center of the experience, they encountered product demonstrations and examples of current and developing solutions. These included live robotics, a large LED screen featuring key messages, and an immersive HoloLens experience.
The HoloLens content offered another way to explore Mitsubishi Electric’s green home and smart building technologies, efficient factory solutions, drone communications, 5G networks, fiber optics, and healthcare solutions.
Guiding Movement Through the Space
Animated, color-themed lighting moved through the overhead structure, drawing attention from outside the booth and encouraging visitors to continue through the environment. Backlit graphic elements added depth to the exhibit backgrounds while highlighting specific product applications and solutions.
